Synonym/s: Corynanthe brachythyrsus K.Schum. in Notizbl. Bot. Gart. Berlin-Dahlem 3: 95 (1901); Pausinystalia macroceras f. brachythyrsum (K.Schum.) N.Hallé in Fl. Gabon 12: 71 (1966)

 

This taxon is possibly a junior synonym of Corynanthe macroceras (Murphy et al., 2023:16; POWO, 2024).

Missing (Onana et al., 2011:280) or Extinct (WCMC, 1998)

Last record (disputed): 1746 (WCMC, 1998); 1898 (Schumann, 1901; Murphy et al., 2023:16)

IUCN RedList status: Extinct

 

Erroenously listed as Rediscovered by (Humphreys et al., 2019), as the source they cite (viz. Onana et al., 2011) does not in fact report the taxon's rediscovery.
