Treated as Extinct as a Colombian endemic (Calderon, 1998; Baillie & Butcher, 2012:88; Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024), but this needs reassessing (Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024) and it may be extant in Ecuador and Peru (POWO, 2024).
