Family: Mekosuchidae (Terrestrial Crocodiles)

Often treated as a subfamily (Mekosuchinae) of the family Crocodylidae. I have retained it as a distinct family in order to emphasise both their morphological distinctiveness and the magnitude of Late Pleistocene / Holocene biodiversity losses.
