Synonym/s: Psittacus eques Boddaert, 1783; Psittacus krameri eques Boddaert, 1783; Psittica torquata Latham, 1822; See (Hume, 2007:23) for a full list

The Réunion parakeet is often considered to be synonymous with the Mauritius parakeet, but I here tentatively regard them as separate taxa pending further genetic study.
