Last (and only) record: 1892 (Silcock et al., 2019:SM:9)

 

"Well-known as a 'lost treasure of the rainforest', and many collections of Embelia spp. from the area where people have been keeping an eye out for it; however, lots of inaccessible habitat... Collection from Russell River - lower habitats cleared, but upper catchment now extremely inaccessible. If from lower reaches, it may be extinct; if from upper reaches, it may be thriving"
