A possible report of a banded hare-wallaby from south-west WA appears to have been made during the late 1960's or 1970 (Anonymous, 1970).

Western Australia (south-western), Australia

Type locality: "near York [Western Australia]" (Glauert, 1933:27) / "Wongan Hills, W.A." (Calaby & Richardson, 1988:63)
