Taxonomy & Nomenclature
Although scientifically described as a full species (Flannery et al. 1983), it has more recently been considered to fall within the variation exhibited by D. dorianus (Flannery et al., 1996 fide Prideaux et al., 2022).

Extinct (Flannery et al., 1983) or Invalid (synonym of D. dorianus) (Flannery et al., 1996)
