Taxonomy & Nomenclature

Synonym/s: Bettongia Gouldii Gray, 1843:94 (nomen nudum); Bettongia Gouldii Waterhouse, 1845:219 (basionym)

 

Treated as a subjetive synonym of Bettongia penicillata penicillata by (Jackson & Groves, 2015:137). However, de Torres & Marlow (2023:293) imply that it may be valid.

South Australia, Australia

Type locality: "in scrub, 40 miles N of Adelaide, Gulf St Vincent, S. A." (Calaby & Richardson, 1988:56)
