Last record: 9 July 1986 (Grayum, 1991:12) or later (wild); February 1989 (Grayum, 1991:13) or later (cultivation)
Logging had already come within several hundred metres of the only known population when the type material was collected in 1986, and without protection this population was probably lost in the 4 years before writing the protologue (Grayum, 1991:13).
