Taxonomy & Nomenclature
There was previously some uncertainty relating to the species' taxonomy (Benavides & Pitman, 2003a,b), but this has been resolved with the designation of a lectotype, and species key to the Section Polyneurium, provided by (Croat et al., 2019).

Biology & Ecology
An epiphyte (Benavides & Pitman, 2003a,b).
Hypodigm
Only known from two specimens, the lectotype (designated by Croat et al., 2019:151) and isolectotype (Croat et al., 2019:151,152).
