Synonym/s: Setodes floridanus Banks, 1905:19; Setodes floridana Banks, 1905:19
Preoccupation by Oecetina floridana Banks, 1899, being a synonym of Oecetis cinerascens (Hagen, 1861), precludes the availability of Oecetis floridana for Banks' 1905 taxon (Holzenthal, 1982:267; Morse, 1993:70).
