Synonym/s: Rubus tsangiorum Hand.-Mazz. in Symb. Sin. 7: 485 (1933)
Although R. hatsushimae has temporal priority over R. tsangiorum, a proposal has been submitted to conserve the latter name (Xiong et al., 2021).

Last record: August 1928 or later
Rediscovered (taxonomically) in: 2007 or later (see Xiong et al., 2021)
Has been considered Extinct in Japan since at least 2012 (Kadoya et al., 2014).

China & Mt. Mayuyama, Shimabara, Nagasaki prefecture, Kyushu, Japan
