Synonym/s: Geocapromys new species A; Capromys sp. 1 Borroto-Páez, 2012:405

Invalid. Specimens from Grand Cayman belong to the same taxon as those of Cayman Brac, described in 2019 as Geocapromys caymanensis Morgan et al., 2019.
