Lastreopsis dissecta (C.T.White & Goy) Labiak, Sundue & R.C.Moran (2014:84)
Taxonomy & Nomenclature
Synonym/s: Leptolepia dissecta C.T.White & Goy in Vict. Naturalist 54: 149, t. 15(1) (1938); Oenotrichia dissecta (C.T.White & Goy) S.B.Andrews in Austrobaileya 1(1): 12 (1977)
Treated as a valid taxon by (Hassler, 2004-2023), but noted as being taxonomically problematic by (Field & Renner, 2019:116), who suggest that it may either represent an extreme form of L. tripinnata or a hybrid of that species with L. tinarooensis. Silcock et al. (2019:SM:5) similarly note:
"Apparently sound (specimen examined; Oenotrichia tripinnata also occurs in area, so could be a freak or hybrid - impossible to say without more material)"
Conservation Status
Missing if valid (Silcock et al., 2019:SM:5 [as 'Possibly extant']) or Extinct if valid (Field & Renner, 2019:116) or Extinct (Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024)
Last (and only) record: September 1936 (Field & Renner, 2019:116 [as September 1936]; Silcock et al., 2019:SM:5 [as 1936]; Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024 [as 1936])
