Conservation Status
Extinct (Knapp et al., 2021; Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024; Nichols et al., 2024)
Last record: 1931 (Knapp et al., 2021; Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024; Nichols et al., 2024)
Recently reported from Mexico (Sánchez-Ken, 2018,2019), but the identification was questioned by (Knapp et al., 2021), and the Mexican occurrences have now been described as the new species D. glabrifloris (Nichols et al., 2024). This taxon is considered a synonym of monotypic D. filiformis by (POWO, 2024), but the new taxonomic investigation by (Nichols et al., 2024) supersedes that decision.

New Hampshire, USA
Recently reported from Mexico (Sánchez-Ken, 2018,2019), but the identification has been questioned by (Knapp et al., 2021).
