Last record: 1891 (Landge & Shinde, 2021:51) or 1894 (Nayar & Sastry, 1987:297); 1960 (Nayar & Sastry, 1987:297)
First collected by Woodrow in either 1891 (Landge & Shinde, 2021:51) or 1894 (Nayar & Sastry, 1987:297). Nayar & Sastry (1987:297) report that it was then collected in 1960 by J. Harlan at the type locality but could not be found there in 1975-76. Landge & Shinde (2021:51) state that it was never collected after 1891 until a claimed 2018 collection from Gujarat that they doubt as it does not match the type material and is in fact closer to B. ischaemum in its characters.
