Rediscovered on 18 November 2004

IUCN RedList status: Vulnerable

 

Unseen for more than 50 years because of tight restrictions imposed by the Indian government upon entering the Mishmi Hills, it was confirmed to still be alive in late 2004. This species should therefore be considered as having been "relocated" rather than truly rediscovered.
