Leucosticte sillemi Roselaar, 1992:226
Sillem's mountain finch
Taxonomy & Nomenclature
Conservation Status
Last record: 1929
Rediscovered in June 2012
IUCN RedList status: Data Deficient
This species was only known from two specimens, including one juvenile, collected in 1929. However, no surveys had been undertaken in the type locality, and hence its status was unknown but presumably secure since there are no known threats to its persistence. It was putatively rediscovered in 2012 after a photograph was taken.
