Last wild record: November 1929 (Gardner, 1933:88; Chippendale, 1988:222); 1938 (Lucas & Synge, 1978:351)
Rediscovered in the wild in 1978 (Chippendale, 1988:222)
A handful of trees existed in cultivation after the species was thought to be extinct in nature, including one at the Waite Arboretum in Urrbrae, South Australia (source: National Trust of Australia).
