IUCN status: Extinct
Known only from the holotype (fide La Greca, 1983) or holotype and allotype (fide Ehrmann, 2002) from Hyeres Island (Insel Hyères), France. The population on Sardinia/Sicily may or may not be of this species (La Greca, 1983). Further investigation is required, though this may already have been carried out since 1983 (e.g. Ehrmann, 2002?).
