Synonym/s: Isoetes sampathkumarani L.N.Rao (1944)

 

A synonym of I. coromandelina according to (Chandra, 2008:177; Kumar, 2011), a synonym of I. sahyadrii according to (Hassler, 2004-2023), but regarded as a valid species by (Singh et al., 2021).

 

Conservation Status

Extinct (Walter & Gillett, 1998; Rao et al., 2003:1; Singh et al., 2021) or invalid (synonym of Isoetes coromandelina) (Kumar, 2011) or invalid (synonym of I. sahyadrii) (Hassler, 2004-2023)

IUCN RedList status: treated as a synonym of Isoetes coromandelina

 

Both known localities have been destroyed, and searches have failed to find any individuals (Singh et al., 2021:11).

 

Distribution

Bangalore district, Karnataka, India

 

The species has previously been recorded at two localities in the Bangalore district (Singh et al., 2021:10)
