Dispute over taxon authority/year of publication

Most sources cite the author and protologue as Kunze ex A.Braun, Verh. Bot. Vereins Prov. Brandenburg 4: 330 (1862) (e.g. Pereira et al., 2019; POWO, 2023). However, Hassler (2004-2023) cites it as Kunze ex Mett., Fil. Lechl. Fasc. 11: 36 (1859).

Rediscovered in September 2010 by Vali Pott (Pereira et al., 2019)

 

Distribution

Terenos, Mato Grosso do Sul & Dianópolis, Tocantins, Brazil

Type locality: Terenos, Mato Grosso do Sul (Pereira et al., 2019)

 

The species was rediscovered c.1200km away from the type locality in the municipality of Dianópolis, Tocantins state (Pereira et al., 2019).
