Since rediscovered as a living population (Cameron et al., 2021)

 

"First detected as fossils on Deserta Grande (Teixeira et al., 2019) and subsequently living at the southern end of Deserta Grande (Planalto Sul and Rocha do Amarelo, leg. D.T., IFCN 2020), and at the northern end of Bugio (leg. & coll. I.S.) (Teixeira et al., in prep.)."
