Synonym/s: Porzana auffenbergi Brodkorb, 1954:103 (original combination)

 

Originally described as Porzana auffenbergi by (Brodkorb, 1954), Olson (1974) considers this taxon as belonging to the genus Rallus. Specifically, being a large Pleistocene form of the extant R. limicola (Ibid.).
