Synonym/s: Tristramella simonis intermedia Steinitz, 1953:218
According to Steinitz & Ben-Tuvia (1960:161):
"the taxonomic results of the study were summarized by Steinitz in 1953. The name of T. simonis intermedia submitted in that paper, and subsequently applied also in 1954, must be considered a nomen nudum validated only through the present publication."
According to Freyhof et al. (2025:798):
"Some authors have proposed that T. magdalenae from the Damascus basin and T. intermedia from Lake Hula basin should be considered distinct species. However, we could not identify distinguishing characteristics that would allow us to differentiate these from T. simonis. Consequently, we have treated them as conspecific."
