IUCN RedList status: Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct)

 

Extensive surveys were conducted in 2000 and 2002 without success, and the population is likely to be less than 50 individuals if it is not already extinct (Freyhof, 2011).

Rivers Ko and Tan, Annam, central Vietnam
