Salmo pallaryi Pellegrin, 1924
Taxonomy & Nomenclature
A formally undescribed population from nearby Lake Isli may be S. pallaryi (Delling and Doadrio, 2005).
Last record: 1930's (1934 or later?)
IUCN RedList status: Extinct
Introduction of the common carp (Cyprinus carpio) into Lake Sidi Ali in 1934 is thought to have driven the species extinct sometime during the 1930's, and probably around 1938. However, a formally undescribed population from nearby Lake Isli may be S. pallaryi (Delling and Doadrio, 2005).
