Only known from the type series (Vishwanath, 2010). No further records of this species have been made and it may therefore be extinct. A possible record exists from Yunnan, China (Kottelat, 1990 cited in Vishwanath, 2010) which should be investigated as the species' distribution may encompass an area much larger than the type locality.
