Oncorhynchus clarki macdonaldi Jordan & Fisher, 1891

Yellowfin cutthroat trout; Yellow-fin cut-throat trout

Taxonomy & Nomenclature

Synonym/s: Salmo clarki macdonaldi Jordan & Fisher, 1891; Salmo mykiss macdonaldi Jordan & Fisher, 1891 (original combination)

Conservation Status

Last record: before 1903

A collection of trout from Twin Lakes in 1903 did not contain any Yellowfin cutthroat trout, and it is believed that they had become extinct by that time as a result either of hybridization or competition, or both, with the introduced rainbow trout (Behnke, 2002:144).
