Synonym/s: Falco peregrinus fruitii Momiyama, 1927 (spelling error)
Original described as "fruitii", this is clearly in error as the taxon was named "in honour of Mr. I. Furuiti" (see [url=http://www.birdforum.net/archive/index.php?t-253527.html]here[/url]). The specific name was emandated by (Mayr & Cottrell, 1979:422).
