Last (and only) record: 1911 or before (type collection) (Wolfenden, 1911; Ohtsuka et al., 1998)

Rediscovered in: 1993-1994 (Ohtsuka et al., 1998)

 

Although officially rediscovered in 1993-1994 (Ohtsuka et al., 1998), the male Xanthocalanus sp. from stage V reported by (Bradford & Wells, 1983) are probably referable to X. gracilis (Ohtsuka et al., 1998:594).
