This species may have been rediscovered:

"A species which was believed to be extinct due to habitat destruction and was for a long time only known from the holotype collected in 1919. It was recently rediscovered in the Sarauwaget Range, NW tip of the Huon Peninsula, Papua New Guinea. And is probably also endemic to the Sarauwaget Range."


However no source is cited for this claim and so it shall remain in the extinct category until a corroborating source can be tracked down.
