Last Record: Late Pleistocene
A recently described species from Late Pleistocene deposits in north-western Madagascar. It's precise age is unknown but certainly not Holocene age when people first colonized Madagascar. Therefore the reason for its extinction remains wide open. But further finds may shed light on its temporal and geographic distribution.
Holotype: UA 9478 ("Right maxilla with CP 2,4 M1–3")
