Synonym/s: Dolomedes elegans L. Koch, 1876 (junior homonym of Taczanowski, 1874); Nilus elegans L. Koch, 1876 (junior homonym of Taczanowski, 1874); Nilus kochi Roewer, 1951:438 (replacement name)
Transferred from Nilus to the newly erected genus Mangromedes (of which it is the type species) by (Raven & Hebron, 2018).
