Synonyms: Pterolichus hirundo Mégnin & Trouessart, 1884:335 (basionym); Hieracolichus hirundo (Mégnin & Trouessart, 1884:335)

 

Transferred to the genus Hieracolichus by (Gaud & Atyeo, 1975:544) or (Philips 2000:221). Transferred to the genus Aetacarus by (Hernandes, 2020).

A parasite whose only reported host is the Harpy eagle (Harpia harpyja) (Hernandes, 2017; Moro et al., 2017, 2019).
