Erroneously listed as formerly extinct (i.e. prior to synonymisation) by (Humphreys et al., 2019)
Considered a synonym of A. alpina by (POWO, 2018; fide Humphreys et al., 2019), with the latter only concerned with taxa that are or were considered extinct, implying that it was previously considered extinct prior to synonymisation. But POWO (2024) treat it as a valid taxon extinct in Ukraine but extant in Romania, which matches the broader literature with no record from its type locality in 30 years (Kahalo & Syčak, 2009; fide Kliment et al., 2016:EA1:22n) but extant in Romania (Beldie & Váczy, 1976; Morariu & Beldie, 1976; Beldie, 1979; Ciocîrlan, 1988, 2009; Popescu & Sanda, 1998; Negrean, 2011; all fide Kliment et al., 2016:EA1:22n).
