"Most of the species lacking recent records occur in areas rarely sampled, with the exception of H. castellanosae (Gaillard, 1974), H. isabelleana (d’Orbigny, 1835), and three species of Potamolithus (P. concordianus Parodiz, 1966; P. quadratus Pilsbry & Ihering, 1911; P. tricostatus (Brot, 1967)). These have been recorded in areas where sampling was frequent, such as the Río de la Plata and Uruguay rivers." (Rumi et al., 2006)
