Buryat (sheep)

"In the middle of the twentieth century, the indigenous Buryat sheep had become extinct [65]. In the 1980s’, a small group of indigenous Buryat sheep was found in China and was later transported to their historic homeland. This is compatible with our findings that the Chinese genetic background significantly contributed to the Buubei breed." (Deniskova et al., 2018)
