Taxonomy & Nomenclature

This taxon has been synonymised with multiple taxa over its history, including with T. longirostris (Boisser, 1875:745), and most recently T. coelesyriacus (POWO, 2024). It is treated as a valid species by its rediscoverers (oşkunçelebi et al., 2017).

Last (and only) record: 1850/51 or before (Coşkunçelebi et al., 2017:51)

Rediscovered on 28 July 2011 (Coşkunçelebi et al., 2017:53)
