"Tetramolopium consanguineum ssp. leptophyllum var. kauense is endemic to the Ka'u district on the island of Hawaii. It has not been seen since its discovery in 1980. The taxon to which it belongs, however, was ths subject of Smithsonian Institution Endangered Species Act listing petitions in 1975 and 1978."
