Rediscovered in the wild

Last wild record: 2002 (Wood et al., 2019)

Rediscovered in the wild in March 2021 (see 'Media' below)

 

30 saplings have been outplanted on Kamehameha Schools land in the hopes of establishing a larger wild population than the single wild plant currently known to exist (discovered in early March 2021).
