Possibly Extinct in the Wild (Klopper et al., 2012:79; Martínez Richart, 2019; Thiede et al., 2020) or Extinct in the Wild (Lane, 2004; Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024; POWO, 2024) or Rediscovered [tentative] (Thiede et al., 2020)

Last wild record: 1970's (Thiede et al., 2020:248); 2004 (Christenhusz & Govaerts, 2024)

IUCN RedList status: Endangered

 

What may be the same taxon has been found in the wild in Mozambique recently (Thiede et al., 2020:250), but confirmation is required.
