Taxonomy & Nomenclature

Synonym/s: Sus sennaarensis Fitzinger, 1858; Sus scrofa sennaarensis Gray, 1868; Sus scrofa sennaariensis Fitzinger, 1860

 

Probably represents an ancient introduction of the nominate subspecies (porter et al. 2016:524). Hence it is best considered as taxonomically invalid.
