Rediscovered in 2000 (Humphreys et al., 2019)
Was considered Extinct in the Wild by (Dransfield & Beentje, 1995 fide Rakotoarinivo et al., 2014), but following its rediscovery (in the wild) in 2000 (Humprheys et al., 2019) it was later downlisted to Endangered (Rakotoarinivo et al., 2014).
