Chrysalidocarpus acuminum Jum. (1922:16)
Taxonomy & Nomenclature
Synonym/s: Chrysalidocarpus acuminatum Jum. (1922:16) [orth. error used by Humphreys et al., 2019]; Dypsis acuminum (Jum.) Beentje & J.Dransf. in Palms Madagascar: 211 (1995); Dypsis acuminatum (Jum.) Beentje & J.Dransf. in Palms Madagascar: 211 (1995) [orth. error used by Humphreys et al., 2019]
Conservation Status
Rediscovered [by implication] (Palmpedia) (see below)
Humphreys et al. (2019) treat Dypsis acuminum (as D. acuminatum) as a synonym of Chrysalidocarpus acuminum (as C. acuminatum), but the synonymy is homotypic, thus since all taxa included in the Supplementary Dataset 1 were at least formerly considered extinct, this applies to C. acuminum. But there is a recent record of the taxon (see Palmpedia), implying that it has been rediscovered.
