Was considered Extinct in the Wild by (Dransfield & Beentje, 1995 fide Rakotoarinivo et al., 2014), but was later changed to Data Deficient (Rakotoarinivo & Dransfield, 2012; Rakotoarinivo et al., 2014). Considered Extinct by (Humphreys et al., 2019) based upon their interpretation of (Dransfield & Beentje, 1995).
