Regarded as a synonym of C. pseudorivalis by (Sreekumar & Henderson, 2014), but accepted by (POWO, 2024).
Conservation Status
Possibly Extinct or Possibly Extinct in the Wild (ex situ status uncertain) (Sreekumar & Hareesh, 2013; Senthilkumar et al., 2014) or Invalid (synonym) (Sreekumar & Henderson, 2014)
Not found in the wild in recent surveys (2010's) (Sreekumar & Hareesh, 2013; Senthilkumar et al., 2014), prior to the species' taxonomic status being questioned (Sreekumar & Henderson, 2014; contra POWO, 2024).
