Taxonomy & Nomenclature

Synonym/s: Pteropus mariannus loochoensis Gray, 1870:106; keraudreni Fritze, 1894; loochooensis Fritze, 1894; luchuensis Seitz, 1892

 

Demonstrated to be a synonym of Pteropus mariannus by (Almeida et al. 2014).

Hypodigm

Two specimens are in the British Museum of Natural History. A third specimen was collected, but it's current whereabouts are unknown (Maeda, 2008).
