Taxonomy & Nomenclature

Synonym/s: "Halmaturus" vishnu De Vis, 1895

 

Bartholomai (1966) designated a lectotype, while (Bartholomai, 1976) considered W. vishnu a synonym of the Pliocene W. indra, thus greatly extending its geological occurrence.
