Synonym/s: Mysateles garridoi (Varona, 1970:2)

 

Has now been re-identified as an individual of Capromys pilorides (Turvey et al., 2017).

 

Conservation Status

Invalid (synonym)

Last record: c.1978 (Soy & Silva, 2008)

It was reportedly rediscovered by (Berovides-Alvarez & Comas-Gonzalez, 1991; fide Fisher, 2011), but is now considered invalid (Turvey et al., 2017).

IUCN RedList status: Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct) (since removed, see "Taxonomy & Nomenclature" above)
